Self-promotion is hard. I’m here for the challenge.

I’ve never been great at singing my own praises. I was brought up to be humble. I was coached to celebrate the team’s success, never an individual’s contribution.

But countless studies have shown that those who actively promote themselves at work earn more and progress faster. And men are much, much better at it than women.

So, I’m working on speaking up when I’ve achieved something I’m proud of – in a way that still feels authentic to me. This quote reminds me that it’s ok to be a bit bold and I thoroughly enjoyed the #IAmRemarkable course.
